Trade-in Terms

1. Who we are

These terms apply when you sell or trade in a shower to Chris I-O trading as We Buy Any Shower ("we", "us"), 9 Penntiow Golf, Cott Road, Lostwithiel, Cornwall, PL22 0FB, lostoak@hotmail.com.

2. Who can sell to us

By submitting an offer, you confirm that you are 18 or over, that the shower is yours to sell (or you have the owner's permission), that it is not stolen or subject to any finance, and that it was safely disconnected from water and electricity by a competent person. If any of this turns out to be untrue, we may cancel the trade-in and recover any payment or discount we gave you.

3. Your online offer

The offer you see online is an estimate based on the make, model and condition you tell us and on our record of that shower's new price. It isn't final until we have inspected the shower.

• Good working, or brand new (boxed or unboxed): 5% of the new price in cash, or 7% off one new shower bought from our shop at the same time (the most expensive shower in your basket). Working showers also get £3.50 towards postage. This is added to a cash payment, or refunded on top of the 7% discount.
• Working but marked or damaged: 3% off one new shower bought from our shop at the same time (the most expensive shower in your basket). There is no cash payment and no postage contribution.
• Faulty or not working: no payment. We'll recycle it responsibly, and you pay the postage.
• The total discount on any single new shower is never more than 7%.

4. Sending your shower

You arrange and pay for postage, and the shower is your responsibility until it reaches us. Please pack it securely, use a tracked service and include your WBAS reference or packing slip. We recommend that you insure it for its value.

5. Inspection

We'll inspect your shower within 5 working days of receiving it and email you the result.

6. If the shower is not as described

If the shower isn't in the condition you described, or isn't the make and model you gave us, we'll email you a revised offer. You can then either:

• accept the revised offer by email; or
• ask for the shower back. You pay the return postage and must send it to us before we post the shower.

We'll hold the shower for 28 days from the date of our revised-offer email. If you haven't accepted the revised offer, or asked for the shower back and paid the postage, within those 28 days, we'll treat the shower as given to us for recycling. We'll recycle it responsibly and you won't be paid.

7. Payment

• Bank transfer: paid within 3 working days of inspection (or of you accepting a revised offer), with no fees.
• PayPal payout: paid within 3 working days, less PayPal's payout fee of 3.5%.
• Trade-in discount: applied to one new shower bought from our shop at the same time as your trade-in. It can't be exchanged for cash, except as explained in section 8.

We'll need your bank or PayPal details to pay you. We use them only to make the payment.

8. If you cancel the new shower

If you cancel a new shower you bought with a trade-in discount (for example, using your 14-day cancellation right in our Shop Terms), the trade-in discount is cancelled. If your traded-in shower qualified for cash, we'll pay you the cash offer instead (5% of the new price plus £3.50 towards postage). Marked or damaged showers that qualified only for the 3% discount don't get a cash payment. If you'd prefer, we'll return your marked or damaged shower instead. You pay the return postage.

9. Ownership

Ownership of the shower passes to us when we pay you or apply your discount. For a faulty shower given for recycling, ownership passes when we receive it. Once ownership has passed, we may refurbish, resell or recycle the shower.

10. Trade accounts

Contractors and housing associations with a trade account trade in on the same rates. The 5% trade discount and any trade-in discount are added together, but never come to more than 7% off one shower.
